How to Live in England Legal - Video Cover
For many people the desire to live in England seems so far away for not knowing exactly the possibilities and costs in the country, so this post aims to show a lot clear way and very easy to understand housing options in England along with monthly costs and work opportunities here.
Well, I'll start with visas for living in England from legal way:
Tourist Visa: Well this is the most common visa in the UK and gives you the opportunity to stay in the land of the queen for 6 months, but as the visa's name, yours purpose is just for tourist and not allowing any kind of paid work.
Student visa: There are two ways to apply for this type of visa: for those who intend to study at a university or making a deal with some English School in the city you choose. Before closing any agreement, it is necessary to check the requirements, because depending on you, you will have to plan and come with a certain financial amount to support yourself during your course, as currently the Student Visa does not entitle you to work either, there was a time that you could have at least 20 hours a week, today this does not apply anymore.
Note: If you are already in Great Britain as a Tourist Visa and would like to apply to the Student Visa, you will need to leave the country and re-enter by applying for a visa when entering the UK.

Work visa: this type of visa, in my opinion, I find it a little more complicated but not impossible: it is where you can check if there is any multinational in Brazil that gives you the opportunity to work in the United Kingdom or check if there is any multinational here in England that you can apply and work in it or see if you fit the question exceptional function, that the latter is more focused on the area of technology, IT or something related to computers.
Volunteer Visa: This one is specific for those who want to come and do volunteer work. You need to contact a sponsor, which may be a Organization or Institution that is licensed by the government.
The employer must issue a certificate of sponsorship for you to apply for your visa, in addition to showing that your work is important to the institution.
European citizenship: if you are entitled to European citizenship (do you want to know how to obtain your Italian citizenship? In this
link I tell you more about it!) or you already have one and want to move to the UK, this is the most practical and affordable option to live here, just come! However, as the agreement with the European Union, the so-called Brexit, is in progress at the time you are writing, you will have to go to the UK government's website and register on the
Pre-Settlement that is, it is practically a visa allowing you to live in the United Kingdom for 5 years and then if you wish to apply for your English Citizenship.
Note: If the UK leaves the EU with agreement, you have the deadline to apply Pre-Settlement until the day June 21, 2021, in case the UK decides to leave no agreement, this deadline goes to day December 31, 2020.
Dual citizenship helps a lot for those who want to live in England
English Citizenship: This is literally the easiest and without 'howevers', if you have English citizenship you can enjoy British rights here in the Land of the Queen!
Costs
Well, regarding costs, I made a survey of expenses to facilitate your financial planning before moving here, remembering that these values are variable and it depends on your lifestyle. But basically the accounts and amounts are these:
– Concil Tax normally pays £150 a month;
– Rent a flat/apt £600 a month;
– Electricity £40 a month;
– Internet £25 a month;
– Gas £30 a month;
– Groceries expenses £200 a month.
– Public transport £72 per month (I didn't put transport on the video)
Remembering that as a reference to travel, these values depends a lot on your lifestyle, were stipulated by the matter of having to assist with your financial planning before moving to the UK.
So based on the values above, the average is £1117 per month for a single person.
And before renting any house/apartment/flat/room, the owners usually ask for a deposit at least 1 to 3 months in advance, since you are arriving now and still do not have credits that guarantee you, but before you want to move, this deposit is deducted in the month you leave the house or they return to you, it needs to be negotiated before you move to the desired place.
Some apps that you can search for places to rent are:
OpenRent
Zoopla
Spare Room (room and studio rental)
Right Move
Facebook Groups
Note: I strongly recommend renting directly with the owner because in real estate they tend to be a little more bureaucratic.

Work
And finally on this last topic, except if you are coming with a work visa, I strongly recommend not to be prejudiced against starting with a job inferior to what you used to do in Brazil, it is no shame for you to do a service that you were not used to doing. perform in your home country. Everyone knows their own path and where they want to go, and work here in this country is not lacking, there are many opportunities and chances to move up, so guys, sharpen your English, if you still don't know, start studying and you will improving even more in the course of your days here.
