What to Do to Lose Your Fear of Traveling
This issue is the reason why many people are still prevented from traveling. Unfortunately, many people still don't know what to do to overcome their fear of traveling. So, here I'm going to share a little of what I've been doing.
Since even some people close to me have been asking me how I can travel alone. Be it because of fear of the new, fear of going alone, fear of not knowing how to get around, of the different language and not knowing how to communicate.

How to Lose Your Fear of Travel
The first thing I want to say is that feeling scared, not just about the trip but in general, is normal. Since we will always feel afraid of something. This is a form of self-protection, your brain is telling you that you need to pay attention to this, or anticipate it.
In a way, the good thing about feeling afraid is that you already know the cause and can anticipate it. So, you have this in mind, so you are already thinking about how to avoid this.
In other words, how to protect yourself from this and not let it block you or stop you from living because of it. If this is an issue that paralyzes you, it is a good idea to see a specialist who can help you deal with these issues.
As for the normal fear of “oh, I really want to go, but I'm afraid because I'm going alone, or because I don't know how to speak the same language”, here I'm going to give you these tips that have helped me a lot to overcome my challenges every day. Yes guys, I am also full of fears, but we are in life to face them.

Travel Planning
So let's go in parts, the first topic I want to cover to reduce the fear of travel and traveling and which helps a lot is Planning. In this sense, answering these questions for yourself: what is the purpose of your trip? Is it a vacation, is it visiting a friend or family member, is it visiting a new place?
As well as knowing where you are going to visit, the more specific and clear If you go into your planning, your travel itinerary, prepare before you even leave home, you will already know your entire route. As well as: where you will stay, which bus or taxi you will take when you leave the airport, which restaurant you want to go to.
This way, it greatly reduces the chance of getting stuck and gives you more courage to travel, because you will already have in mind what to do and where you want to go.

Fear of foreign language
The second very common issue among staff is the fear of communicating with foreigners. Since English is the most spoken language in the world, and even if you don't speak it or know just the basics like I did when I left Brazil there in 2017, knowing only the verb to be from public school and look, there are some ways you can improve.
In other words, you have some options such as: watching the educational videos Youtube, at least the basics like good morning, where is this place, how do I get to a certain point. In addition to the use of Google Translate save lifes!
In this sense, mime people are also an official language “spoken” around the world. For example, here in Thailand not everyone speaks English, some locals or older people only speak the basics or not even that, and we still understand each other. Whether with gestures, speaking slowly, everyone understands everyone.
So, regardless of the language of the place you want to go, whether English or not, Google Translate, ready-made phrases written down by yourself, can save a lot and help you navigate your day-to-day life in a different country.

Travel Safety
A third topic that I heard the other day from a very dear person is safety: “Wow, is it safe for women? You there alone, well you're still alive, right (lol). Well, thank God, right, and so, as a woman, it's still something that a lot of people look at and find strange.
Because normally it is only men who can go anywhere without worry, or it is dangerous for a woman to go alone, such as going out at night. Despite this, one thing that has helped me a lot is knowing more about the place and doing good research.
For example, see reports from other people who have also traveled alone, what their experiences were like. As well as participating in Facebook and WhatsApp groups, getting more possible tips on what it's like to travel alone in this place, the crime rate, in short.

My experience
In the same way, as I said in another video I'm returning to traveling alone after 6 years of traveling with others. So from my own experience, what makes me feel safe about traveling on my own is this: it’s researching, talking to people who have already been to the place I want to go.
As well as how they managed, what their experience was like, which leads to the first topic of this post: planning. Before even leaving home, do some research, what can be avoided, places I can go.
Furthermore, and putting it together here, there is nothing like our experience, the first week I spent getting to know the place, as they say, recognizing the terrain, feeling what this new place is like. As I got used to the place, I felt safer and realized that it's not a big monster.
Often, we tend to think only about the worst and thank God it's nothing more than thoughts, it doesn't happen. One thing I read and thought was really cool is that for every negative thought you have, think of 3 positive ones to encourage you and encourage you to do the things you want to accomplish.

How to Protect Yourself When Traveling
Fourth and final topic, we refer to accidents. For example, at the time of the full moon party, here in Koh Phangan it is full of tourists and motorbikes on this island. On normal days, I hadn't seen an ambulance or police yet, during the holidays, several appeared.
So, what I recommend is to always be cautious, just like you are in your city for example or in larger cities. In other words, always be careful when walking on busy streets, or venturing out there.
One of the best ways for you to travel more safely and comfortably is to hire a travel insurance. Normally, it's not that expensive, remember that if you use my link you get a discount, and there are several options.
For example, if you are more into extreme sports, such as skiing or snorkeling, you can take out special insurance, or you also have the option of including your electronics such as a drone, notebook. In other words, it is important to have something to support you if you need it, and this also needs to be planned and hired before leaving home.
Likewise, it is essential that you read your insurance coverage, keep your support numbers and call them when you need them. My spoiler is that thank God most of the time you don't need to use it, but it's something that makes you more confident and comfortable on your trip.

Conclusion
Well, I hope that these tips help and encourage you to take the trip of your dreams regardless of your fears, because life is one and we are there to make the best of it, right? So I wish you all the luck, all the courage and inspiration in the world to embark on your adventures!
