Koh Phangan Beyond the Full Moon Party – Thailand
Everyone has the same vision when talking about Koh Phangan: the Full Moon Party in Thailand! Or rather, the Full Moon party that takes place every month on the paradise island in Southeast Asia.
What people still don't know is how much the island has to offer, how many wonderful beaches and calm there are. In this post I tell you the best entertainment the island has to offer.
Best beaches on Koh Phangan in Thailand
The island has several beautiful beaches of incredible blue, white sand and some even have massage places by the sea, a true dream of relaxation.
Some beaches that I want to highlight here and highly recommend are:
Ao Nai Wok – Koh Phangan in Thailand
A beach located in Thong Sala, it is a super peaceful place, a bay with white sand, a perfect place to relax, read, sunbathe, or if you like kayaking, this place is super inviting.
Hin Kong
This beach located in the northwest has a very relaxing space surrounded by restaurants and bars to sit and relax in front of the sea. The sunset in this place is the most beautiful thing, and when the tide is low, a sand corridor appears, a sandy bay where you can walk and take beautiful photos of this place.
Koh Ma
The northern beach, also popular as Mae Haad Beach, is a wonderful sandbank, with several restaurants and resorts in front of the beautiful blue sea. When walking towards the island of Koh Ma, the beach divides into two, passing through a large sand walkway.
In addition to this wonderful view, it also has several stacked stones, the famous Equilíbrio, beautiful for enjoying and meditating.
Malibu Beach
Another beach on my favorites list is Malibu Beach, with fine, super white sand, a wonderful blue and local boats that help create the perfect view.
It is a very quiet beach, very popular with people who want to relax or play volleyball on the sand court.
Bottle Beach
This beach located in the very north of the island is a lovely place, we cross a resort to get to it and to get to this resort we need to walk 3km from the place where we parked our motorbike. Or you have the option of calling a taxi and taking it there.
As well, even with this walk it's totally worth it, as the beach is truly incredible and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun.

What is Thai food like?
I particularly love the food thai: from Pad Thai to Samosa, which is their pastry. Let's face it, here in Thailand there are also several exotic foods. Like the famous scorpion sold as skewers, alligators, larvae, but the latter are not consumed as much by local people. But yes, to attract tourists.
Normally, they eat rice, meat, vegetables, chicken, their Pad Thai is prepared with noddles (Asian noodles), and their seasoning is usually sweet and sour. It's common for you to also find spicy food, if this is an issue for you, as it is for me, just ask for it to be removed and they don't add it to the preparation.
In addition to my favorite Pad Thai, there is Shabu, which is barbecue with meat, vegetables and sauce. Where they are cooked fresh, the pieces are cut very thin and just put them in boiling water and enjoy the local cuisine.
Where to Eat in Koh Phangan
The island offers several local markets and really cool restaurants for all tastes, from local markets to more structured ones.
Walking through the center to the local markets, there is the famous Phangan Food Court, which in addition to various cuisines, also has shops selling various typical clothes from the region.
Another very famous and busy market is Pantip, also located in the center, it has several cheap and delicious foods. And in some places there is a night market, normally from 5pm until 10pm, in some regions of the island. For example, on Thursday there is in front of the Big C supermarket.
The most luxurious restaurants are located near Hin Kong beach, such as the Italian restaurant Barrique, Álcove, which has a pyrophagy show and live music at night.
Meditation and Spirituality in Koh Phangan
The island in Thailand, in addition to the famous and trendy Full Moon Festival, is also a mystical place full of spirituality and yoga retreats.
Throughout the Koh Phangan region there are several centers for Yoga, meditation, Reiki, among others for those seeking inner peace and calm.
Conclusion
Koh Phangan has much more to offer than just the Full Moon party, I hope that with these tips you will definitely include Koh Phangan on your travel list!
